SawBorn × Rekerz: Built Around Climbing, Style & Community

Some collaborations make sense on paper.

Others just make sense.

For us at SawBorn, the Rekerz collaboration has always been one of those.

Where It Started

Our relationship with Rekerz goes back to 2023, when I met the boys at the very first Rekerz competition they ran.

I ended up winning the comp — but more importantly, that day was the start of a friendship and working relationship that has continued ever since.

We've worked together, climbed together and shared plenty of the same spaces, people and experiences within the arborist community.

When SawBorn started, the idea of doing something together with Rekerz was mentioned almost immediately.

It just felt right.

Why Rekerz?

There are loads of people within the arborist world doing great things, but what Rekerz are building is something I've always really respected.

I love their mission, their ethos and the way they approach tree climbing and arboriculture.

For me, Rekerz represents freedom.

Freedom to climb in a style we love.

Freedom to be sporty.

Freedom to push yourself.

Freedom without restrictions.

But more than that, it's about community.

It's about bringing people together who are passionate about climbing and creating an environment where people can enjoy the sport and the industry for what it is.

That's something I wanted SawBorn to be part of.

Creating the SawWrapz × Rekerz

When it came to designing the collaboration, we wanted something that actually represented Rekerz.

It needed to be bold.

It needed to have some edge.

And, of course, it needed that unmistakable Rekerz yellow.

The final design is deliberately different from a standard SawWrapz. It's loud, distinctive and has a bit of attitude — which, honestly, feels pretty representative of the Rekerz boys themselves.

Leon, the main man behind Rekerz, was personally involved in the design process, helping bring the packaging and tape design together. The finished design was then passed around the team and signed off by everyone.

For us, that was important. We wanted the collab to feel like a genuine representation of Rekerz and what they stand for.

And I think we nailed it.

More Than Just a Wrap

At SawBorn, we make products because we use this stuff ourselves.

That's always been the point.

We want to make gear that looks good, works hard and belongs in the hands of people who actually spend their days climbing, cutting and working in trees.

The SawWrapz × Rekerz collaboration fits perfectly into that.

It's a product that brings together two communities that already overlap — people who care about climbing, performance, style and the culture surrounding arboriculture.

And there's something pretty cool about being able to turn a friendship that started at a competition in 2023 into something tangible that people can now have on their saw.

Supporting the Rekerz Movement

One of the most important parts of this collaboration is that it isn't simply about putting two names together.

With every SawWrapz × Rekerz sold, Rekerz receive a set commission from the sale.

That money goes back into helping them continue building what they're building.

So when you buy one, you're not just buying a SawWrapz.

You're helping support Rekerz, their events, their community and their wider movement within tree climbing and arboriculture.

That's exactly how we wanted this collaboration to work.
