SawWrapz and SawBorn FAQs
Straight answers on SawWrapz chainsaw handle tape and SawBorn gear. Anything missing, email sales@sawborn.co.
What is SawWrapz?
Grip tape for chainsaw handles. It gives a dry, tacky grip, cuts the vibration that reaches your hands and eases hand fatigue. SawWrapz V2 is the current version, with a stronger material and a better adhesive than the original.
Will it fit my saw?
Yes. It wraps anything you can get a hand around: the front bar, the rear handle or both, on Stihl, Husqvarna, Echo, Makita, Milwaukee and every other make, petrol or battery, top handle or rear handle.
How long is a roll?
2,100 mm long, 30 mm wide and 3 mm thick.
How do I fit it?
Clean the handle, start at one end, overlap each turn by about half the width and press as you go. It takes about ten minutes. The full method and the video are on the How to Wrap page.
Where can I buy SawWrapz in person?
Buxtons, Skyland Equipment and Treeworker in the UK, Undaunted Manufacturing in the US and Log Building Tools in Canada. Addresses and the map are on the Store Finder page.
How fast is delivery in the UK?
Orders placed before 1 pm, Monday to Saturday, are dispatched the same day. Standard delivery takes 1 to 3 working days.
Do you ship to the US, Canada and Australia?
Yes, and to most other countries. International delivery takes 5 to 8 working days. Import duties and taxes are included in the shipping cost, so there is nothing to pay on arrival.
What is the returns policy?
Return an item within 30 days of delivery if it is damaged, faulty, unsuitable or not what you expected, in its original condition and packaging where possible. Returns are checked and processed within 7 business days and refunded to the original payment method.
How do I track my order?
Use the Track Order page with your order number, or the link in your dispatch email.
Is the 8 kN carabiner rated for climbing?
No. 8 kN is an accessory rating. It is for clipping tools, bottles and lanyards, never for carrying a person.
Where is SawBorn based?
The UK. SawBorn was started by a contract climber and chainsaw carver; SawWrapz was the first product and is still the flagship.
