How to wrap a chainsaw handle

SawWrapz V2 goes on in about ten minutes. Watch the video below, then follow the steps.

1. Clean the handle. Wipe off oil, sap and sawdust with a rag and a little brake cleaner or methylated spirit, then let it dry. Tape only sticks to a clean handle.
2. Peel back a few centimetres of backing and press the end of the tape onto the handle, square to it, where you want the wrap to start.
3. Wrap along the handle with a firm pull, overlapping each turn by about half the width of the tape. Keep the overlap even and press each turn down as you go.
4. Where the handle bends, take smaller steps and keep the tension on so the tape follows the curve without creases.
5. At the end, cut the tape square and press the tail down hard. Rub the whole wrap once more so the adhesive beds in.
6. Leave it for a few hours before heavy use if you can. The grip gets better once the adhesive has settled.
